WALKING GROUP E

Coordinator – Chris Cave (0114 236 4648; email )

As a U3A group it probably goes without saying that we are a friendly, sociable, welcoming group.

We walk every week, alternating between Wednesdays and Thursdays. Walks, which are planned and led by group members, start at 10.30 and are from 5 to 7 miles long with a mid walk break for sandwiches. When a walk ends in the vicinity of a pub or café walkers may well retire there after the walk.

As well as a Christmas dinner we have a summer social, usually in a Derbyshire pub.

Everyone is welcome provided that they can complete the walk at a reasonable pace.

Anyone considering joining can contact Chris Cave or simply turn up for one of our walks at the meeting place shown in the walks programme.

Whether you join our group or another walking group – happy walking.

Walk programme October to December 2017

All walks, except 21st and 27th December, start at 10.30 am from the meeting point shown

Today we join Dore’s Wyvern Walkers on their traditional post-Christmas walk on Blackamoor followed by mulled wine and mince pie (£1.00). This is a walk open to everyone so feel free to bring friends, children, grandchildren, visitors, dogs et al. Not being a U3A walk there is no U3A insurance cover.
