The Travel Committee meets bi-monthly and organises two to three short breaks in the UK and 10 day trips per year. Trips organised by Sheffield U3A Travel are open to all (and only to) Sheffield U3A members. 

Holidays and day trips are listed here for your information but bookings can only be made from the booking forms printed in Links.

Reply Envelopes

Some members have been confused by the instruction in some  adverts in Links that require small or large stamped addressed

envelopes. What size is small? How large is large? Over the next few issues it is the intention to standardise the descriptions using the International (ISO) standard sizes. It is expected that one the following four common sizes will be the most requested –

C4

229 x 324 mm

9 x 12.75 in

for a flat A4 sheet size

C5

162 x 229 mm

3.37 x 9 in

for a flat A5 sheet or A4 sheet folded in half

C6

114 x 162 mm

4.5 x 6.37 in

For A5 sheet folded in half

DL

110 x 220 mm

4.32 x 8.69 in

For A4 sheet folded in thirds or A5 sheet folded in half

The required size will be designated by its code - e.g. C5.
